As the Amazon marketplace continues to evolve, staying up to date with everything going on can be a real struggle. But as you may well know by now, if you don’t try, you’re going to get left behind. And on Amazon, that’s never a good thing.
Thankfully, today’s merchants have access to an incredible amount of information to help guide their business growth. Blogs, news sites, webinars, podcasts, peer forums, and seller conferences are all great ways to stay informed on the latest industry news, product trends, sales techniques, and topics of concern. That being said, finding the right — and reliable — information can be a real challenge.
Many Amazon sellers, from first-time vendors to the more experienced brands, have found webinars to be one of the best seller education resources available. In this article, we’ll uncover the often hidden value of Amazon seller webinars and discuss why you should make a point to attend. As a bonus, we’ve also included links to five of eComEngine’s most popular webinar recordings. Go check them out — we guarantee that you’ll learn a thing or two!
Before we get started, here’s a quick word of caution: as always, whenever you’re consulting with third-party sources, be sure to do your due diligence. Unfortunately, not everything that you see or hear will be compliant with Amazon policy.
To protect your business, it’s imperative that you seek out reputable sources of information and have a good understanding of Amazon guidelines. Be wary of black hat tactics or anything else that seems questionable — a “hack” that seems too good to be true probably isn’t.
With that warning out of the way, let’s get to the list!
It’s pretty rare to see an Amazon seller webinar charge admission. The vast majority will only cost you an hour or two of your time. But all that knowledge you’re gaining? Priceless.
Similarly, most webinars are recorded and posted on the provider’s own website and/or other video sharing sites like YouTube. This is great if you want to go back to it later or if something comes up and you miss the live event. However, we strongly suggest that you always join the live recording as you can get answers to your questions in real-time.
When you attend a webinar, you’ll feel a sense of community with other sellers. You’re all on this beautiful (but often frustrating) journey together! We’ve seen many peer connections being made over the years. Plus, as many webinars include guest presenters or panelists, you’ll likely discover new products or services that can benefit your business.
A good Amazon seller is always learning. With webinars, you're going to learn actionable tips and top strategies from industry leaders and Amazon experts — many of whom are sellers themselves. Topics are often timely (Q4, Prime Day) and target common trouble areas (increasing feedback and reviews, improving conversion, policy changes, etc.). You're going to learn so much in a short amount of time, saving you all the hassle of having to research it yourself. We know you have enough on your plate as it is!
Webinars are critical for two reasons: First and foremost, they provide much needed education around best practices, strategies, and resources available to help anyone selling on Amazon improve their business. Second, they can be useful for providing updates in a timely fashion, as Amazon makes changes quickly, often leaving sellers unaware of current policy and platform updates.Shannon Roddy
You know how movies often reward you with special trailers for sticking around until the very end? The same thing usually happens in webinars, but in this case, you’ll be treated to a special discount or coupon code for a product or service. There’s often excellent value there and it could really jumpstart your business.
Outside of our product offerings, eComEngine is also dedicated to seller education. We have a robust help center for our customers, maintain a very active and diverse blog, and regularly host Amazon seller webinars or join our awesome partners as featured speakers on their own productions.

If you want to increase your sales, take a good look at your product photography and copywriting. If either of these isn’t up to par, it could be holding your product back. In this webinar, eComEngine’s Colleen Quattlebaum chats with Robert House, founder of ProductPhotography.com, and Emma Schermer Tamir, founder of Marketing by Emma, on how you can boost conversions with well-crafted copy and professional images that speak to the quality of your product.
Keeping up with Amazon can seem like a full-time job (we should know). Regularly consulting trusted sources is a great way to stay up to speed and gain valuable knowledge that can help you build and grow a successful Amazon business. Webinars can do just that — which one will you be watching today?
