RestockPro has a new feature that makes it easy to see if your products are currently approved for inbound shipments to Amazon FBA. In this blog post, we’ll discuss why FBA shipments have been restricted recently and how this feature can help sellers save time.
Amazon FBA fulfillment centers began prioritizing shipments of essential items due to increased demand during the coronavirus outbreak. During this time, FBA sellers have been unable to create inbound shipments for items outside of essential categories.
Amazon has since begun allowing new shipments of some items. However, with a focus on keeping high priority items in stock, there are quantity limits for new inbound shipments of some products. Sellers must check the Restock Inventory page or Restock report in Seller Central to see which of their ASINs are eligible for inbound shipments. Eligible products that have quantity limits are marked with a Limited restock tag. RestockPro recently added a feature to automate the process of checking ASIN eligibility for FBA sellers. This feature helps you understand which items are available for inbound shipments, in addition to providing a lot of other data like estimated margin and competitive data to help you make a judgement call over whether or not to ship that inventory.
There is a new RestockPro tag called COVID Approved that is currently applied to every product approved for inbound FBA shipments per the Amazon Restock report. If the product has unit limits, the tag will display the Maximum Inventory Threshold as well. For example, if the threshold is 50, the product tag will be COVID Approved - 50 units.
The list is being updated daily, so as Amazon removes restrictions and allows more products back into FBA, your products will be tagged accordingly in RestockPro. If you'd like to opt out of these tags, please send us a message at restockpro@ecomengine.com.
Amazon had to work quickly to meet customer demand for essential items, but keeping up with what qualifies as essential is a real challenge for sellers as the situation evolves daily. The COVID Approved tag in RestockPro makes prioritizing shipments quick and easy.Joe Hyatt
To use the tag, simply search for “COVID Approved” in Restock Suggestions or filter your Restock Suggestions grid by the COVID Approved tag. You’ll instantly see which of your items are eligible for inbound shipping to FBA fulfillment centers.
RestockPro offers the flexibility you need to manage your FBA inventory effectively during the coronavirus outbreak and beyond. Use tags, filters, and other great features to see the information you need to make informed restocking decisions at a glance. We wanted to make this easier on sellers, especially in the event that further restrictions occur.
Keep track of your local inventory, inbound shipments, purchase orders, cost information, and more. You can even print Amazon compliant labels and stickers right from the software. Simply sign in or start a free trial (no credit card required) to use these features as well as the COVID Approved tag today!
