RestockPro users have been asking for a more streamlined way to customize their shipment prep pick lists, and we've delivered. Merchants now have the ability to create more customized pick lists that are clear and easy to use.
In this post, we'll take a closer look at how pick lists are used and show you how you can create your own customized list in RestockPro.
Amazon specifies the amount of units in each shipment for FBA sellers. The number of items per shipment can vary by the fulfillment centers Amazon has specified as destinations. FBA merchants can obtain this list from the Seller Central dashboard or by creating a shipment in RestockPro.
The pick list shows all of the items in each shipment. “Pickers” gather and prepare the units so that they can be organized into cartons for shipping to the Amazon fulfillment centers. Pick lists generated in RestockPro can also easily be shared with logistics providers.
Sending the wrong amount of items to an FBA warehouse can be disastrous. At the very least, it will delay stock availability. Mis-shipments and those that contain damaged items or more items than listed can be rejected at the fulfillment center dock. No Return Authorization Requests will be created for these shipments. If shipments are refused, sellers must pay to have them returned.
It’s essential to provide clear instructions to ensure that inventory is managed correctly before being shipped. This is true whether products are shipped to the FBA warehouses directly from the supplier/manufacturer or prepared by merchants from local inventory.
The pick list grid in RestockPro allows users to print out shipment pick lists. The new user interface includes built-in capabilities that make it easy to show and hide columns, as needed. Merchants may now click the icon in the upper right corner of the grid to choose which fields they would like to be displayed on their pick list. Click on a column header to re-sort the list prior to printing. Once it looks right, click print to generate your clear and easy-to-read pick list. Your settings will all be saved; so the next time you go to print a pick list, RestockPro will automatically create it the way you want.
The pick list provides a clear and user-friendly printout, making it easier to manage shipment prep prior to sending inventory to the FBA warehouses. The Box Contents button in RestockPro provides a printable list for each box to be shipped, helping merchants ensure that they are meeting Amazon’s shipment guidelines.
