It’s proven that managing your inventory intelligently can help you become a more successful Amazon merchant. Now you can build kits and beat the competition with RestockPro.
RestockPro has recently added a new feature that allows you to kit your products and offer more diversified offerings to your customers.
What is a Kit?
Say you sell bath products, but you want to offer a gift basket or “kit” of multiple products. Your kit is a SKU that is a bundle of one or more other SKUs. A bath set might include a loofah, bath oils, lotion and powder. These parts may or may not also be offered individually.
Sellers use kits as a way to offer a custom product - the combination of those products is up to you, and you can make it different from any combination offered. That often means no competitors, and as an FBA seller, 100% of the Buy Box.
How Does This Impact Inventory Management?
Normally, this type of SKU tracking would be a nightmare. You have to order the right quantities of each kit item, track the parts as they are received, remember to bundle them together, and ship them to FBA as a kit. Or, if you place an order for kits but decide, based on sales trends, that it would be more beneficial to repurpose the parts for individual sale, you’re faced with even more of an inventory challenge.
With RestockPro’s new feature, you can see how a kit is selling and receive suggested restocking quantities.
Let’s take a look at the features:
define a SKU as a kit or multipack
order a kit and have the PO reflect all of the parts that comprise it
distinguish between items that need to be restocked vs. items that sell individually
identify kit parts when they arrive
see the kits originally ordered and “build” the parts into kits
“break” a kit in your local inventory
build kits using parts available in local inventory
With these new features, ordering and tracking kits will be a breeze! Give RestockPro a try and get started building your first kit.
