If you’re an Amazon seller who needs to conduct market research and get information about products that you’re thinking about stocking, MarketScout is just the ticket. In this blog post, we’ll look at how it works.
MarketScout is incredibly easy to use, but don’t let the simplicity fool you. This powerful tool can save you hours as you consider which products to stock in your Amazon store. To get started, create a .CSV file containing the ASINs, EANs or UPCs that you’d like to research. Include the item cost if possible to get estimated profitability data.
As you can see in the GIF above, uploading your .CSV file to MarketScout is simple. You can save time and money by having MarketScout do the product research on your behalf!
After uploading your file to MarketScout, you’ll receive an email when your report is complete. You can view the report within MarketScout or download a .CSV file. Both versions make it easy to sort product data by column so you can quickly find the information that you need most.
Your MarketScout report can help you find products that have good margins and fewer competitors. Your report will include:
MarketScout is not a subscription service. Rather, you only pay for credits when you need them. Credits are valid for a full calendar year from purchase date. Conducting a lookup and competitor analysis on one item requires one credit.
MarketScout is a fantastic tool. It’s easy to use, and you can put it into practice immediately. Basically, I use it for reconnaissance. You really can’t look up 10,000 or 30,000 SKUs manually. It’s hard to do even ten. But it all comes down to your strategy. The data is as useful as your strategy is effective." - F. Lulli
There are three purchase levels available: Starter, Pro and Ultimate. The Starter level includes 10,000 credits for $100, which breaks down to only a penny per credit. Prices get even lower when you purchase the larger plans. You can quickly research an entire supplier catalog for the cost of a latte or two, depending on the size of your catalog. That’s a lot easier than manually researching each of those SKUs!
Ready to get started? You can claim 100 free credits and you don’t even need to enter a credit card number to get started. Just supply your MWS information and start looking up your SKUs today!
