Brands selling on Amazon have a lot to keep up with. Listing optimization, advertising, reputation management, inventory management, customer service...the list goes on and on.
That’s why there are so many agencies that cater to Amazon sellers: because there is a high demand for managed services and end-to-end account management. We work with a lot of agencies, and we are consistently blown away at the results a great agency can produce for a brand selling on Amazon. I thought it would be useful to talk about a few of the top Amazon agencies, based on my experience, and tell you what I like about each. If you work with an agency that you want to highlight, comment and we’ll talk!
Note: This is not an exhaustive list of every single agency I think is great. It’s a list, in no particular order, of a few of the agencies I work with the most and fully understand.
One of the most recognized names in the industry, Buy Box Experts was founded by Joseph Hansen in 2013 and James Thomson, former Amazonian and eCommerce expert, is a partner there. This powerhouse agency manages over $2 billion in Amazon revenue for more than 10,000 Amazon sellers. A full-service agency, Buy Box Experts has recently acquired Nozani and Egility, agencies run by Thaddeaus Hay and Liz Adamson, respectively, who are both industry experts with years of experience.
A well-oiled machine of productivity and performance, Buy Box Experts is an excellent choice for brands of all sizes. With a well-rounded blog, informative podcast, and strong LinkedIn presence (especially James!), Buy Box Experts also puts a lot of valuable content into the industry that benefits all sellers. Buy Box Experts is fantastic to work with, and the team is top-notch.
Expertise and creativity drive this family-fun agency helmed by Andrew Morgans and Veronika Morgans, a brother-sister team. This agency is also a full-service provider and is especially good at Amazon storefronts, creative assets, and advertising. Emphasizing storytelling and strategy, Marknology manages over $50 million sales on Amazon, has a hefty roster of clients, and is a real pleasure to work with.
Marknology has grown considerably since I first started working with them, and their offerings have expanded. Additionally, Andrew owns his own lifestyle brand and is a new host on the Startup Hustle podcast. Does the guy ever sleep? The Marknology team is collaborative and quick to respond to questions. And, so fun to work with.
Based in San Diego, California, AO2 Management is a full-service data analytics firm that specializes in helping Amazon sellers. With a deep understanding of services for Amazon sellers on not only the US platform but many international platforms, AO2 Marketing leverages algorithmic decision-making to help their clients grow their business on Amazon.
Responsible for significant increases in sales revenue for their clients, this quickly-growing agency has case studies, great content, and data, data, data. AO2’s CEO, Nathan Neeley, took what he learned while consulting with corporations to improve their Amazon strategies and applied it to his own agency, where he is still hands-on with clients. Rather than relying solely on software or professional consultation, the agency strikes the symbiotic balance between man and machine. I learn something new about the industry every time I talk to these folks.
Carina McLeod, former Amazonian and eCommerce expert, launched this Amazon agency to help sellers and vendors demystify the Amazon marketplace. From full account management to different specialties like international listing support, Amazon advertising, training, workshops, and more, Carina and her team of former Amazonians and industry experts provide the support and guidance it takes to accelerate sellers and vendors on the Amazon marketplace.
eCommerce Nurse also has a podcast, a robust blog, and lots of resources for sellers of all levels of expertise. Carina has been a great friend to eComEngine for many years and we have been lucky to benefit from her wisdom in the many articles she’s written for us.
Founded by Joshua Kreitzer, a seasoned eCommerce professional with 15 years of experience in the Consumer Electronics and Outdoor Sports industries, Channel Bakers is a long-time advocate of FeedbackFive and one of the most experienced Amazon agencies in the industry.
With a deep understanding of the big picture in terms of eCommerce, Channel Bakers helps brands understand where and how they need to grow in order to have a well-rounded presence in the retail marketplaces that matter most. Josh’s team performs complete account management, and offers Vendor Central, as well as Seller Central support in the Amazon space, and they are particularly well versed in creating A+ content and strategizing the best plan for Amazon paid search.
Another long-time evangelist of FeedbackFive and a well established strategic Amazon agency, Channel Op offers full service channel management and brand protection. Founded by Tyler Metcalf, Channel Op provides account and listing setup, day to day management of a seller’s account and intelligence into who might be selling that brand’s products in different marketplaces. Channel Op also offers inventory management, so there isn’t a single thing a brand has to worry about on the operations side. They can just focus on building their brand audience and advocacy.
Founded by Ryan Flannagan in 2011, Nuanced Media is a full service eCommerce and Amazon agency dedicated to providing you the best eCommerce and multichannel strategy. With clients across the globe, Nuanced Media provides each client with a hand-picked, custom strategy made to fit their needs, increase revenue and brand awareness on the web.
In addition to specializing on Amazon, Nuanced Media also evaluates a client’s multichannel opportunity, which includes a deep evaluation of the client’s website, opportunities in other marketplaces like Target, Walmart, Ebay and more. Just looking to learn more? They’re always publishing and updating blogs that benefit any and all types of sellers out there. If you’re looking for a team that works hard to grow with you, give Nuanced Media a call.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the great agencies that can help brands grow on Amazon, but it’s a list of six that I trust and would recommend to anyone who is looking for help winning in the Amazon space.
