Getting started on the Amazon marketplace is an exciting time for sellers, but it can take some time to start thriving in a competitive market. With a little perseverance and the right tools, new companies can succeed.
We recently caught up with Nate Justiss of Distil Union, a company that sells men's wallets, cell phone cases and other accessories, to talk about his experience with FeedbackFive. Justiss shared that Distil Union saw a 400% increase in their Amazon review rate after implementing the tool.
Increased Review Rate
“We were just getting started activating products on Amazon and one of the challenges was generating reviews. We had a great product. We were confident in it. It was just, there's a pretty low percentage rate of people who actually review products, so we were looking to increase the amount of product reviews we were getting," Justiss said. "We found FeedbackFive and it had an immediate impact.”
As a private-label company, Distil Union relies on product reviews to help showcase the brand to potential customers. After a few media shout-outs, Distil Union's wallet sales increased rapidly within a short period. “Soon after, we found FeedbackFive, which allowed us to then reach out to those folks and really connect with them and include a link that allowed them to review the products," Justiss said. "I think we were around a 2% review rate, and it went up to 10%, so it’s been great.”
Sending customized SKU-specific messages is a great way to follow up after a sales boom like this one. FeedbackFive also allows users to include product images, instructions and other information to connect with customers.
More Reviews, More Success
FeedbackFive has been a big part of Distil Union's sales strategy. “As you know, on Amazon, the more reviews you have, the better you do,” Justiss said. “There’s been no comparison between the before and after," he added. "It’s something that I recommend to anybody else that I know who’s looking to sell on Amazon.”
