2 Ways to Keep Your Intern Busy this Summer

by Colleen Quattlebaum

Just moments into the interview, you knew Jimmy would make a great summer intern.

For starters, Jimmy is majoring in business management with a minor in web design. He's also passionate about Amazon - so much so, in fact, that he named his dorm room hamster "Bezos." And, his first-hand experience of working with customers (at his father's photography business) offered practical experience that you could put to good use.

Although it's still spring, summer will be here before you know it. To make the most of Jimmy's internship, it's time to start thinking about his responsibilities.

Here are three ideas - all of which relate to your seller reputation.

Refreshing Your Customer Email Templates

One of your favorite aspects of being a FeedbackFive customer is the library of pre-built email templates. With dozens of designs to choose from, FeedbackFive has made it possible to effectively engage each Amazon customer - without any in-house design or HTML expertise.

As effective as the default templates have been, you've always hoped to customize your emails' colors, fonts and graphics to more closely align with your branding. Sadly, you've never had a chance to play with the HTML designer tool. That's where Jimmy comes in.

Since all paid FeedbackFive plans offer unlimited users, setting up Jimmy in your account will be a piece of cake. Once in the system, he can get busy putting his design knowledge to good use. Better yet, he'll be able to do so in a way that doesn't directly impact any live campaigns. Instead of working on a live template, he can easily save a copy to a new template.

Or, he could just start a new template from scratch.

Either way, Jimmy can get his feet wet without messing up what's already working in your FeedbackFive account. Once you and Jimmy are satisfied with his work, just update your campaign settings to utilize the new template. It's that easy.

Harvesting Analytics

While we're on the topic of campaigns, let's talk about analytics. As a FeedbackFive user, I'm sure you occasionally jump into your analytics dashboard to check customer engagement metrics. Unfortunately, with the many demands that go along with running an Amazon business, I'll take a guess that you don't check it as often as you'd like.

Once again, Jimmy to the rescue!

To get Jimmy headed in the right direction, you might want to prepare a list of questions that you hope to answer. Here are a few ideas:

  • Which campaigns have the best open rates? Why?
  • Is there a specific time of day that works better for sending emails?
  • Should we consider adjusting our timing rules?
  • Do our campaign rules still make sense for our business?
  • Is there a correlation between negative feedback and specific ASINs?
  • Would renaming / reorganizing our campaigns result in less confusion internally?

Your FeedbackFive account has the data necessary to answer these questions - and many others. Jimmy is sure to impress!

Tracking Amazon Reviews

Since the announcement of FeedbackFive's review tracking feature, you've been meaning to add your top-performing ASINs (along with a few competitor ASINs). Like almost everything else, however, you haven't found the time. This is the perfect task for Jimmy to spearhead.

The process of adding ASINs into FeedbackFive should only take a couple of minutes. Once ASINs have been added, the fun really begins for Jimmy. With fingertip access to 90 days worth of reviews for each ASIN, he can slice and dice the data to his heart's content. FeedbackFive also synthesizes the data into interactive charts and graphs, making it easier to see which products are on the rise (or on a downhill slide).

Even better, FeedbackFive matches your customers to Amazon reviews. In other words, Jimmy will be able to connect actual results to your ongoing solicitation efforts.

And, much like feedback monitoring, FeedbackFive can send Jimmy (and you!) an email or text message each time a negative rating is published by a customer. With FeedbackFive review alerts enabled, your team can keep a close eye on customer satisfaction - without manually checking product detail pages on Amazon.com.

Let's Make Jimmy's Internship Awesome!

Summer is just around the corner, and Jimmy is counting on you for a meaningful internship experience. Exceed his expectations by turning him loose in FeedbackFive!
