$0 to $10 Million in 2 Years: eComEngine’s Explosive Power

by Andrew Tjernlund

You don’t start from zero and sell more than ten million dollars on Amazon in two years without a little help. Early on, one of my companies started using two eComEngine tools, FeedbackFive and RestockPro, to help spur sales and allow me to focus on growth. Now that we are larger, these tools are even more valuable.

FeedbackFive Then - and Now

We all know that the more positive feedback a product and seller have, the better chance they have at closing a sale. Even if the feedback isn’t 100 percent positive, all sellers and products need a certain amount of it to gain traction on Amazon. We added FeedbackFive immediately to elevate our private-label products and enhance our selling profile.

Now with thousands of listings, many of which are not private-label items, we need all the edge we can get. When competing for the Buy Box, your feedback quantity and quality are major factors in the Amazon Buy Box algorithm. Every day, we fight to control the Buy Box with tens of thousands of dollars in the balance. FeedbackFive gives us the advantage over most of our competitors and even allows us a fair shot when competing against Amazon.

RestockPro Then - and Now

We discovered RestockPro much too late. Although we were still relatively small, our inventory and order management were already a mess. The lesson we learned is that it’s imperative to implement RestockPro early, before your inventory gets too bulky. That said, even at a midpoint in your business’ growth, you can still use RestockPro’s costing tools to know what products are making you money and understand the acceleration of your sales.

RestockPro is arguably our most important tool today. We are regularly ordering products by the truckload and issuing purchase orders for more than $500,000. In addition to its product organization and cost management tools, RestockPro allows us to accurately predict what to order from each supplier and how much. My favorite feature allows us to use a weighted average of 2, 7, 30, 60, 90 and 180 day sales broken down by product. This helps expose trends, reveals seasonality and helps optimize your purchases. It saves time and prevents stagnant inventory.

In addition to selling, I assist new and established Amazon sellers through AMZHelp.com. I recommend eComEngine’s products all of the time. They have helped my business succeed and continue to allow me to dominate the Buy Box on thousands of products.
