Goodwill is an international nonprofit that helps people find jobs and provides programming for youth, seniors, veterans, military families and people with disabilities. Donated items such as clothing, furniture and books are sold in Goodwill stores to raise funds to support these initiatives. This allows used items to be reused (instead of filling landfills) and supports community programs and events.
Here's how the Give Back Box program works:
Remove items from Amazon box.
Fill box with clothing, books, accessories and other items you'd like to donate to Goodwill.
Drop off the box at your local post office or UPS store, or simply schedule to have it picked up from your home or office.
Donated items will be taken to the nearest Goodwill location that is participating in the program.
Boxes will be recycled.
There is no weight limit for the boxes. Please note that electronics, liquids and fragile or hazardous items cannot be accepted by this program. You can sign up to receive a tax deduction receipt through the Give Back Box website.
The Give Back Box program is a great way to make use of all of those Amazon boxes from a busy holiday shopping season!
