Overview of Cross Dock

With the cross dock order model, you order a set of items from the supplier, the supplier sends them to your facility for prepping, and you ship them to Amazon. This model assumes you ship each PO separately, so if you prefer to combine items you’ll want to create a Local Order. Click here for more details.

In this restock model, you’ll need to send the products stickered (or use Amazon’s labeling service) and prepare the shipments.

The steps for creating a cross dock order include:

1 - Create the order (choose source as the Supplier and Cross Dock to Amazon as your Destination)

From Restock Suggestions, the Next Action button is to Create a PO. Click it to view a preview of the PO. You have the following options:

  • Download - Mark the PO as sent and download it as a PDF

  • Email - Mark the PO as sent and email a copy to yourself

  • Save/Exit - Mark the PO as sent, but skip generating it

  • Edit - Keep the order in Pending. Open the PO to edit costs, discounts, or notes before finalizing it (See step 2)

Once the order is created, open it from the Orders page. Click the “Inbound to Cross Dock” color tile a the top to quickly filter all of your cross dock orders. Open the order to finalize the PO, optionally create a shipping plan on Amazon, receive the items, and ship them out
