Scout for Pennies

by Colleen Quattlebaum

We’ve recently had a few questions about our MarketScout tool. Since the pricing model is a little different than our other two tools (FeedbackFive and RestockPro), we wanted to provide a quick overview of how it works.

Credits for One Cent or Less

Instead of paying for a monthly plan, you only pay for MarketScout credits when you need them. Credits are valid for an entire year from your purchase date. Conducting a SKU lookup and competitor analysis on one item takes one credit. If you receive a catalog from a new supplier, you can quickly get the competitive intelligence you need to make purchasing decisions.

Scout credits are available in three levels: Starter, Pro and Ultimate. The Starter plan includes 10,000 credits for $100 (which breaks down to a penny per credit), and the prices drop even more with the larger plans. Since all credits are good for a year after the purchase date, you’ll have plenty of time to use yours!

Reduce the Cost of Amazon Research

Conducting SKU research can take hours of your time. Even if you hire someone to help you, the time it takes to find all the details you need about each item could be better spent on more profitable tasks.

By automating this administrative work with MarketScout, you’ll get important data without spending hours looking up SKUs. Your MarketScout report includes detailed information about each SKU you look up, including:

  • Number of FBA sellers and total sellers
  • ASIN and item title
  • Amazon product sales rank and category
  • Lowest FBA price and lowest overall price
  • Potential profit calculations
  • Unit weight and whether the item is oversized
  • Model number and manufacturer

Researching SKUs has never been easier!

How it Works

Getting started with MarketScout is simple. Create a .CSV of the SKUs, ASINs or EANs you’d like to look up, along with item cost, and upload it to MarketScout. Setup is easy—there’s even a .CSV template available in MarketScout!

Within a few minutes, you’ll receive an email when your MarketScout report is complete. You can choose to view your report in MarketScout or download a .CSV file. Either version will allow you to sort data by column so you can find the information that matters most to you.

Try MarketScout for Free

So, why should you try MarketScout? Don't take our word for it. As a happy MarketScout customer named Cara recently told us, "I love using MarketScout for wholesale sourcing research. Results spreadsheets are delivered quickly with all of the information that I need to make informed buying decisions. Also, your Customer Support (in particular, support from Joanna L.) is consistently outstanding! On several occasions, she went out of her way to make sure that my requests were taken care of. She is knowledgeable, generous and considerate. This speaks volumes for the way that your company values and treats your customers. As a loyal customer, I thank you!"
